The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) recently announced that most fees charged by the Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP) to international students and most exchange visitors will increase next month. Specifically, the I-901 SEVIS fee for F international students will increase from $200 to $350, and the I-901 SEVIS fee for most J exchange visitors will increase from $180 to $220. All fee increases will become effective on June 24, 2019.
International students and exchange visitors who pay the I-901 SEVIS fee prior to the fee increase implementation date, but before they are issued a visa to enter the U.S., will not need to pay the difference between the new fee and old fee. Students and exchange visitors will continue to pay the I-901 SEVIS Fee at FMJfee.com
