Mondays and Thursdays – 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
This is a time for new, UIC-sponsored, J-1 Exchange Visitors, H-1B and O-1 workers to report to OIS and meet with an advisor one-on-one. Check-ins are required for all new visitors in these statuses, even if they have been at UIC in another status previously. The advisor will review important information regarding his or her status and invite them to any required OIS Orientations. Check-ins are required of visitors in other statuses, but may be done without a personal meeting and are not limited to this check-in time. Contact email@example.com if you have questions about the proper check-in procedure for a particular situation.
