Student Photo Identification

What is an “i-card”?

The i-card is your official university identification card and you will use it as long as you attend the University of Illinois at Chicago. It will give you access to many services and facilities on campus (e.g., library, labs).

How to obtain an i-card

  • All international students must check in with the OIS first, once you have provided OIS with copies of your immigration documents, OIS will be able to remove the registration hold that prohibits you from registering.
  • After you have registered for classes go to the ID center with proof of registration and your passport.
